Run-time error 430 is from running dx7vb.dll, since vista isn't compatable with dx7, and actually only offically supports 9 & 10, i'm having a hard time fixing this too. The game looks great, wish i could play it...

I did all of this and I get the Run-time 430 error now, the 'Class does not aupport automation or does not support expected interface'.

Any tips from anyone? I tried installing MDAC v2.8, alas, that is only good for XP plus prior systemsand the internal WDAC with Vista is supposed to be a Redistributed MDAC v2.8.

Per chance are you using Windows Vista Buisness, or Ultimate edition? I am using the regular Home edition.
